My story

Being a writer and a journalist, with a passion for the art of storytelling, one day I realized that a single image can say more than any words. Since then, I have let my photographs speak for me.
After graduating with a Master’s Degree in Journalism, I worked for many years as a TV News reporter in Ukraine. Since emigrating to the UK, I have been working as a freelance photographer for the BBC and published my first two fiction books.
It wasn’t until I became a mother though, that I started to appreciate the purity of silent storytelling more than anything else. For the first time in my life, I had simply not enough words to describe things which were so precious to me. That’s when I discovered that a single shot can say much more than hundreds of words. Gradually, year by year, I have been improving my skills as a photographer, learning new techniques and approaches.

My preferences

Photography is first of all an adventure for me! My aim is to explore, to surpass all of the cliche approaches in order to present candid and unposed images. I prefer to capture moments as they occur naturally. Therefore, I don’t mind visiting your home to capture very special, intimate moments from new births to all kinds of family events. I also do photo sessions in my studio at home, particularly when the weather is cold.
However, my biggest passion is to take pictures outdoors. Children easily interact with nature. And this interaction is a whole story, it’s an entire new world, full of magic and light, inhabited with elves and fairies. Children live their dreams. And I, quietly, love witnessing this, letting my pictures tell stories...
